Day-Tripper Tour – 3 days :: DAY-BY-DAY ITINERARY:

Day 1 (170 miles)
We'll start by riding north through the beautiful coastal communities of Del Mar and Solana Beach before turning east and riding through the foothills and inland valleys on our way to Mt. Palomar (6000 feet, 1000 meters) and a stop at the famous Hale observatory. We will continue east, then stop for lunch near Lake Henshaw before attacking the tight turns of Mesa Grande. From here we'll continue to the towns of Santa Ysabel and Ramona before returning to San Diego.

Day 2 (160 miles)
This time we'll head Southeast through Spring Valley and follow beautiful highway 94 towards the Mexican border town of Tecate. From here we'll turn north to Mt. Laguna, the highest point in San Diego County at over 6000 feet [1800 meters]. We'll stop for lunch at scenic Lake Cuyamaca, and then we'll follow the Sweetwater River through the Japatul Valley before returning to San Diego in plenty of time for a seaside cocktail before sunset.

Day 3 (185 miles)
We'll leave San Diego and head northeast through the inland valleys and foothills before crossing the Laguna Mountains near Ranchita. From here, the road makes a dramatic (and scenic) descent to the desert community of Borrego Springs. After lunch, we'll follow Yaqui Pass Road to the demanding climb up Banner Grade. After a stop in the historic mining town of Julian, we return to San Diego through the Barona Indian Reservation and Wildcat Canyon Road.
